My Fall Wish List- The Perfect Pumpkin Coffee

Every fall since high school I try to put together a "wish list" or sorts, a way to stay engaged and not let the season pass me by without taking advantage of all the fun things going on.This fall is exceptionally exciting because not only do we get to experience fall in a new city, but with a new baby, and for a short time in New England! It's been a very long time since I've been home in time to enjoy the fall foliage and so some of the items on this year's checklist are specific to that little trip!So to complete an item off my checklist, here are what I think are the best pumpkin flavored recipes I could make with reasonably affordable and everyday ingredients and materials. I hope you like it as much as I do!Here's what you need. Tweak it as you see fit! For example, I make use dairy free milk and creamer, use stevia sugar fo my homemade syrup, and use a Chemex to make my coffee.Pumpkin coffee (1 serving)

  • Coffee maker
  • Coffee beans
  • Pumpkin spice seasoning
  • Vanilla coffee creamer
  • Milk
  • Pumpkin spice syrup (the best homemade recipe I've found by far! Also, save your pulp to make pumpkin spice baked goods!)
  1. Brew two servings of coffee. Add 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice season to the grounds before you brew the coffee.
  2. Once the coffee is brewed, mix in your preferred amount of pumpkin syrup to the hot coffee (at least 1 tablespoon).
  3. *If you're making iced coffee, add ice 3/4 of the way up your glass now
  4. Add a serving (or more) or your favorite vanilla coffee creamer
  5. Top off your glass with milk
  6. Enjoy!

Pumpkin spice latte (1 servings)

  • Espresso maker
  • *Milk frother (optional)
  • Espresso
  • Pumpkin spice seasoning
  • Vanilla creamer or heavy cream
  • Milk
  • Pumpkin spice syrup
  1. Brew your espresso
  2. Add at least 1 tablespoon of pumpkin syrup to your hot espresso
  3. Prepare your milk and cream mixture in your steaming pitcher. Add a serving of pumpkin syrup to your milk mixture. Steam and foam.
  4. *If making an iced latte, add ice 3/4 of the way up your glass now
  5. Pour milk and foam into your waiting (hot or cold) espresso.
  6. Top off your foam with a dash of pumpkin spice seasoning.
  7. Enjoy!

And there you have it! I hope you're as excited as I am to see the rest of what we have planned for the rest of the fall!
